In contrast to e*thirteen's Gen3 carbon cranks, the overall profile and volume of their Gen4 cranks has gotten much smaller and slimmer. This also led to a significant increase in heel clearance, a key complaint heard about their Gen3 cranks. E*thirteen's Gen4 Carbon Race Crank also sees the spindle moved to the non-drive side of the crank for easier chainguide setup and drivetrain maintenance. LG1 Race cranks are built upon race proven World Cup DH testing and results. Ultra-compacted carbon fiber arms are meticulously bonded to e*thirteen's Connect Polygon interface, which creates a robust, reliable, impact-resistant spindle-arm junction. The layup and spindle thicknesses are the exact same between 73mm and 83mm spindle models. An adjustable chainline accommodates multiple rear-axle spacing configurations, meaning you can achieve non-Boost, Boost, or Super Boost configurations by simply placing the spacers inboard or outboard of the chainring! Finally, e*thirteens cranks now include an 8mm self-extractor, meaning the cranks are easily removed with nothing more than an 8mm allen.
